Profile data: parent type, experience level, children's ages and names
Usage data: reading progress, quiz scores, streaks, XP points, highlights
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information (for analytics and security)
Payment data: processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your card details

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data based on:

Contract performance: to provide the service you subscribed to
Consent: for optional features like email notifications and cookies
Legitimate interest: for platform security and improvement

4. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to: personalize content based on your children's ages, track your learning progress, provide daily tips, send notifications you opted into, and improve the platform.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

Stripe: for payment processing
Hosting providers: for infrastructure (servers located in the EU)

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Parentello is designed for parents, not children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. Children's names and ages entered by parents are used solely for content personalization.
